Session Overview
To date, Youth Speak has had an inconsistent board with one regular member, and is now at a point where the additional support of a board is necessary on a more practical level. However, YS has received conflicting ideas over the role of the board and the ways in which they can/should support the organization. The organization is seeking guidance on how to build an effective board that responds to the needs and gaps currently existing.
Nonprofit Overview
Youth Speak’s mission is to develop a community space to serve as a civic engagement incubator for youth in conflict-affected parts of the world. Youth Speak will provide resources and support to young people to develop and implement cultural, artistic, and social projects that promote a more active, equal, and peaceful community.
