Session Overview
The Mount Washington Community Development Corporation (MWCDC) is a community-based 501(c)(3) organization founded in 1990 that provides housing, business, infrastructure and community development programs and services in the neighborhoods of mount Washington and Duquesne Heights in the City of Pittsburgh. MWCDC is in the process of creating the organization's 2023-2027 Strategic Plan. There are two serious problems, (1) the members of MWCDC's Strategic Plan Task Force, which includes Board members and community representatives, consistently misunderstand the plan development process and (2) despite doing the best the organization can do to enlist and encourage community participation in the plan development process, the level of participation is negligible. The Executive Director is facilitating the plan development process and he can really use some assistance/guidance to solve these problems.
