Session Overview

We are looking to build a successful marketing strategy that will lead to more recruitment from local communities. The local conservation corps in the New Orleans area has been having difficulties filling their crew to achieve their environmental objectives (they have only been able to fill 2 out of 8 positions). Due to COVID-19 restrictions and the aftermath of Hurricane Ida, the conservation corps has had issues attracting any candidates (competitive pay issues, benefits issues, etc.). Nonprofit Overview

Our team's mission is a subset of The Nature Conservancy. Our program works with local conservation corps across all 5 Gulf states to recruit and train local young adults to do environmental restoration work in the aftermath of the Deepwater Horizon oil spill. Our program provides funding to run the crews as well as provide project-specific training, industry-recognized certifications, professional development, and post-program job placement and tracking.
