Our Board directors are highly engaged and make very valuable contributions to our organization. We'd like to compensate them for the time they've invested in this capacity, and would like to understand what restrictions there are around such payments before we move forward. These would be in the form of one-off payments in the order of magnitude of $5k–12k/year. More generally, we'd like to understand whether there are other ways to support them—perhaps by financing books or other materials to support their growth—and how to deal with such benefits (specifically, how to approve them).
