Session Overview
My goal for this session is to map out our next (first!) steps for developing and implementing a marketing strategy for our small arts school. We are a brand new non-profit taking over the operations of a small 40-year old painting school. The founder passed away in 2019, and previous marketing was strictly word-of-mouth and flyers on community bulleting boards. In order to have the growth we need, we definitely need to raise awareness and have a clear plan, and I am not sure where to start.
Nonprofit Overview
The School of Painting is an Inclusive, Creative, Celebratory Community. For four decades Katherine Martin Widmer taught students about the transformative powers of art, community, and individual expression through the medium of paint. In Katherine’s absence The School exists to share those powers with current and future students.
The Mission of the School is to empower a creative community by providing access to low-cost instruction in the visual arts to students of all ages and abilities, and by welcoming and celebrating all students as artists.
