We're looking for a passionate volunteer to help us choose the perfect Point of Sale (POS) system for our organization.

About GFA: Ground Floor Artists (GFA) is a vibrant art organization supporting hundreds of artists by selling their artwork on a consignment basis. We're committed to promoting both emerging and established artists and their unique skillsets!

The Project: We're embarking on an exciting project to research and select the ideal POS system for GFA. This system will streamline our operations, improve inventory management, and enhance reporting capabilities for payments to our artists. Currently, we're using basic bank card readers, paper receipts, and tracking all sales and inventory manually. For this project, I've outlined a clear project timeline, objectives, and deliverables to guide our efforts.

Once the research phase is complete, I will work closely with the volunteer to arrange demos or trials of the top POS systems. I'll ensure they have access to all necessary resources and support, and I'll actively seek feedback from key stakeholders to inform our decision-making process.

Following this, I will collaborate with the volunteer to compile a comprehensive report that highlights the pros and cons of each system. Together, we'll present our findings to the board for their consideration and final decision.

Once the POS system is selected, I will continue to support the volunteer as we move into the implementation phase. I'll work with them to develop a detailed implementation plan, including training programs for uploading inventory and onboarding our volunteers.

Throughout the implementation process, I'll be available to provide guidance and assistance whenever needed. I'll ensure that the volunteer has the resources and support necessary to successfully train our volunteer docents and board members, and I'll be actively involved in addressing any issues or questions that may arise.

By working closely together, we'll ensure a smooth transition to our new POS system, allowing Ground Floor Artists to efficiently manage inventory and payments to artists.
