We offer classes for all age levels (6 years and up) and all skill levels. COVID has driven our revenue from 50% of our annual gross sales to 35% and we have been trying to recover. Our marketing approach has been pretty 'scatter gun' and we have gotten OK results, but need to be sure we're doing all we can to get class registrations back to 'normal'. We would like someone to review our current strategy, review our social media campaigns, and advise on changes and anything we are doing wrong or NOT doing. The Art Center Highland Park has served the Northshore for over 60 years. With the advent of the pandemic we 'doubled down' on community-building programs, including socially conscious events and discussions about diversity and inclusion. We fund these classes through underwriting, grants, and donations, but we need to get education income back to higher levels for our long-term health as an institution. We can do so much for the quality of our community, for service, for vibrancy for our community if we remain healthy. We have a strategy, a social media manager, public event exposure, and a high level of exposure already. We have funds to run some paid campaigns and a board committee dedicated to making this happen. We are most interested in focusing the funds available for the best possible return. As a not-for-profit we can't afford to waste money on strategies that don't produce results.
A not-for-profit visual arts organization since 1960, this vigorous community-centered organization inspires everyone from tots through seniors to achieve and transform their world through more than 450 art classes offered annually in photography, oil, and acrylic painting, watercolor, pastel, mixed media painting, ceramics, jewelry making, metalsmithing, digital arts, fiber art, mosaics, assemblage and more.
