Project Overview

After completing onboarding, regardless of the role and team you are joining, your first assignment will be to start a fundraising campaign. Haiti Now will provide further guidance for you to have a quick and successful fundraiser.

Role brief: The Grant Writer is a virtual non-paid volunteer position that works with the Grants Team. The Grant Writer will be responsible for the writing of proposals to foundations and corporate sources in pursuit of fundraising goals. Responsibilities:
Write high-quality grant proposal narratives, applications, and supporting documents
Research on foundations and corporations to evaluate prospects for grants

Qualifications/Requirements:
Master required,
2 years experience in grants research and writing with non-profits preferred
Demonstrated ability to write successful grant proposals
Minimum volunteer hours expected: 7-10 hours per week
Fluent in spoken and written English
Reliable internet connection is a must
Motivated self-starter with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
Proficiency with Google Suite Apps such as Drive, Sheets, etc.
Familiarity with or quick adoption of Trello and Slack tools is critical
